| Of course this is assuming the injector being removed is bad as it will be destroyed. And I've only done this with the older style injectors. I'm not sure if it will work on the new style. Most of the time when I change an injector for a customer using the plenum grind process, the worst part is trying to get the old injector out as it's so old it just falls apart. I have used the method below a few times now. Makes it very easy. Basically you need a slide hammer kit...yes a slide hammer. I got mine at Harbor Freight a few yrs ago. I can't remember how exactly I thought to use it for this purpose, but I had it handy at the time and it worked.
 Most of the time when trying to remove the old injector, the top snaps off. This is actually a good thing for this proceedure. As you can see, once the plastic top comes off, there are 2 small holes on the top of the injector.
 You will also need a basic woodscrew. Take the part shown below out of the slide hammmer kit and put the screw through it. The head of the screw should keep it from falling through the hole on the other side. You can always use a washer as well as I'm sure not all kits are the same.
 Once putting the screw through, you then screw it in to the hole on the top of the injector. Will look like this, with the injector still in the car in the rails till of course.
 Once screwed into the injector, then attach the main part of the slide hammer.
 That's basically it. Few hits with the slide hammer and it pops right out. Hopefully this can help someone.
